This post is an unsponsored Tuft and Needle Mint mattress review.
When we moved into our house 3 years ago, we decided to upgrade from a queen bed to king. We knew we wanted to invest in a quality mattress that would last us years and years so the research began. At the time, I was really interested in the purple mattress but after about 2 minutes of laying on one in a mattress store we realized the rubber grid was not a comfortable experience for us. We decided on the Tuft and Needle Mint mattress and this post is all about our experience over the past 3 years!

There are several reasons why we chose the Tuft and Needle mattress. The main reason was the convenience of having it shipped to your house. Since we needed to store it for a few weeks before we moved in, it was awesome to have it arrive rolled up in a box. Secondly, it was important to me to have a non-toxic mattress and the Tuft and Needle Mint mattress has certifications that ensures it is free from harmful chemicals. Lastly, we needed a mattress that would work with our platform bed frame and headboard. The Mint mattress was the perfect height where we did not need to use a box spring.
Tuft and Needle offers a few different types of mattresses. We chose the Mint mattress for it's cooling feature. Both my husband and I are hot sleepers but with this mattress I'm able to sleep with a flat sheet, duvet cover, and sometimes a weighted blanket without waking up sweaty. I sleep with the original foam pillow, which is cooling as well. My husband thinks the pillow is too thick and firm so if you prefer a flat or fluffy pillow, you probably won't like this one.
Another thing we like about the Mint mattress is that it's gray. Not that this really matters since the sheets cover it, but sometimes mattresses are just so ugly. Also, controversial topic, but our dogs sleep on our bed. One of our dogs has had a few accidents on the bed and I've been able to clean it up with our carpet cleaner and you can't even tell. One thing to note about this mattress is that it's really heavy, so putting the fitted sheet over the mattress is a bit of an arm workout.
You might be wondering if the Tuft and Needle Mint will be a good fit for you based on your sleeping position. I typically sleep on my side or back and my husband sleeps on his stomach. We both seriously love this mattress so I really don't think you can go wrong with the Mint mattress no matter how you sleep. The foam contours to your body so you feel like you're sunken into it with it still feeling somewhat firm. It's really hard to describe but it's amazing. Another great thing about this bed is that I don't hear the mattress or feel it move when my husband gets out of bed in the morning.
Is the mint mattress worth it?
In my opinion, 100% yes. The only negative thing I have to say about this mattress is that it's insanely hard to get out of bed in the morning because I am so comfortable. I have yet to sleep in even a hotel bed that is more comfortable than our Tuft and Needle Mint mattress. They often have sales so you can get one for a decent price, plus they offer a 100-night trial with free returns. Whenever our friends and family mention that they need a new bed we always tell them to get a Tuft and Needle and we plan on buying another one if we ever need to replace ours!
