New Year Reset Ideas
1. Make a vision board
A vision board helps you visualize your goals and be reminded of them throughout the year! Browse Pinterest for inspiring photos that reflect what you want to accomplish in the new year. Download the images and arrange them together on Canva. Make your vision board the background on your phone or print it to put somewhere you will see everyday!
2. Create micro goals that will help you accomplish your big goals
When reflecting on goals that I didn't accomplish last year, I realized I had set a big goals without really making a plan of exactly how I was going to achieve it. Figure out what things you need to do daily, weekly, and monthly to accomplish your goal by the end of the year!
3. Get a new planner (or two)
Before you buy a new planner, check to make sure the layout works well for the way that you like to plan out your days. I really like having a to-do list and also a time blocked schedule. This year I'm also finally going to start using google calendar. I prefer having a paper planner but a digital calendar is obviously easier for scheduling appointments and such. I like that you can also invite family members to your calendar so that my husband and I are on the same page.
4. Create a morning and nighttime routine
5. Clean and organize your phone
Delete old screenshots, text messages, and apps that you aren't using. Go through your social media and unfollow or mute accounts that are not inspiring or potentially influencing you in a negative way.
6. Cancel subscriptions you are not using
You will be surprised how much money you might be spending on subscriptions without even realizing it!
7. Organize messy areas of your house that have bothered you all year
Part of my new year reset is going to include organizing my linen closets, bathroom cabinets, and dresser drawers. Decluttering and organizing is such a refreshing way to reset for the new year!
8. Rearrange your furniture
This is my favorite part of a new year reset! I feel like it's something that inevitably happens when you take down the Christmas tree and decor. Rearranging your home allows space for new energy and creativity!
9. Meal plan and make a grocery shopping schedule
It's important that you feel healthy in order to achieve your goals and one of the best ways to do this is to make sure your fridge and pantry are always stocked with nutritious foods. I know when I'm eating a lot of fast food and processed snacks it makes me feel lazy and unmotivated. Something that has helped me with this is repeating the same dinner meals each week for an entire month and ordering groceries online for pick up.
I hope these new year reset ideas help you set up your year for success! Happy 2023!
