When we moved into this house in 2019 we knew we wanted a large, comfy sectional to fill the space in our living room. I searched online for affordable options and kept coming across the Macy’s Radley sectional. At the time of my search, the sectional was around $4,000. That was way out of our budget, but I kept seeing reviews that recommended waiting to order until their black Friday sale. We ended up missing that sale but it worked in our favor because it was even more discounted during their end of the year sale! We were able to order the sectional with delivery for just over $2,000! That was still a splurge for us, but it was one of the best investments we have made for our home! This post is an honest review of the Macy’s Radley sectional.

Macy’s Radley Sectional Order & Delivery
Based off of our experience, I recommend ordering the Radley sectional several months in advance. At the time of order they told us it would be a few weeks and it ended up taking months. I remember the delivery date continually getting pushed back and I wondered if we would ever actually receive it. When it was finally delivered, two men carried everything inside and put the sectional together for us. I was really glad we paid for this extra service because the sectional pieces are super heavy and there were a lot of different pieces wrapped in plastic. Although my husband and I could have probably taken care of this by ourselves, they were able to get it done so much faster and more efficiently!
Radley Sectional Fabric and Comfort
We ordered our sectional in the color ‘heavenly mocha grey’ and I have to say, it has held up amazing with our two dogs! I was worried the mocha grey color would be too dark for my light and airy style, but I think it provides a nice contrast and I brighten it up with lighter colored pillows and blankets. I’m actually very thankful my husband convinced me to go with the mocha grey color because I’m not paranoid about it getting dirty or stained. The fabric is soft, yet durable and the cushions are firm. The back cushions are not attached and will need fluffed occasionally as they do get squished down if you’re sitting in the same area frequently.
Macy’s Radley Sectional Cleaning
The Macy’s Radley sectional has zip covers over the back cushions and seat cushions. While you can remove these and put them through the washing machine, I do not recommend it. It is extremely hard to get these slip covers back on your cushions and you will need to cut several loose strings that will fray where the fabric is cut. I use this upholstery cleaning machine and use thieves household cleaner as the cleaning solution. If you have dogs, I highly recommend getting this lint roller. I use it almost daily and it is amazing at getting the dog hair off of this fabric!
Radley Sectional Dimensions
One thing that I didn’t notice in the store, but realized in our own house, is how short the back of the sectional is. I’ve gotten used to it now, but I remember that bothering me a little bit when we first got it. We created a makeshift desk behind the sectional using filing cabinets and a countertop from Ikea and it’s the perfect height to place a drink or snacks behind the couch. If you have the extra room to add the wedge piece in the corner, that’s personally my favorite place to sit on the couch and it provides extra leg room. Our coffee table fits nicely in the center but it’s a little tight to walk around it depending on the way I have it turned. I would like to replace it with a circular coffee table or ottoman to contrast the straight lines of the sectional and allow more walking space.
Should I buy the warranty?
I think we had 30 days after we purchased the sectional to add on the warranty. We did not end up purchasing it and a few months later one of our dogs had an accident on the couch. At that time I really regretted not purchasing the warranty because I read that they often completely replace pieces of the sectional, and I think the warranty would have been good for 5 years. I think you can also put the unused warranty amount towards a new piece of Macy’s furniture. I’ve been able to keep our sectional in good condition by using the upholstery machine and thieves cleaner, but it would be awesome if we had the option to replace pieces of the sectional if *knock on wood* something happens beyond my ability to repair.
Final review of the Macy’s Radley sectional
The Macy’s Radley sectional is honestly one of the best things we have invested in for our home. We always say that if we ever move to a house with a basement, we will purchase another Radley sectional! Next time, though, I would probably add on the warranty. Especially if we purchased a lighter color! Our dogs sleep on this sectional all day long and my husband and I eat dinner on it almost every night. It has held up amazingly and I love how much room we have to spread out. Our guests are always complimenting us on how comfortable our couch is, and usually end up brainstorming whether one would fit in their own house.
I hope this review helped you decide whether the Macy’s Radley sectional is the right fit for you and your family! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out and I will try to answer.
