First, we measured how many pots would fit on one section of the fence and decided to stagger them with 3 on the top and 4 on the bottom. Next, we screwed in the mounting rings and used a circular saw to cut the part of the screw sticking out on the other side of the fence. We decided to plant dill, rosemary, basil, peppermint, cilantro, oregano, and lemon thyme in each of the pots. I can't get over how good the lemon thyme smells!
