1. Patriotic Nails
The easiest way to spruce up your 4th of July look is to give yourself a red, white, and blue mani! I used the my favorite nail polish from Olive & June in the colors HD, CV, cosmic, bold & unshaken, hibiscus, and BP (I just felt like I had to add in a some pink and purple so it wasn’t sOoOo America, ya know?) The stars are nail stickers from O&J, which really help to elevate the look of any at-home mani. Use code thehomeblondy20 for 20% off your first system.
2. Americana outfit
I purchased this t-shirt and I’m really hoping it arrives in time for the 4th. If not, I’ll just wear it while I’m watching the olympics hahah… I’m planning on wearing it with my favorite denim shorts and these white sneakers. If you’re struggling to find something to wear, I think a white sundress is so classic for the 4th. Red lipstick is all you need to make it festive!
3. Red, White, and Blue Flower Arrangement
If you’re like me and always wait until the last minute when all of the cute decorations are out of stock, you’ll appreciate this one. Just pick up some red, white, and blue flowers from your local grocery store and put together flower arrangements to place around your party. I used blue hydrangeas, white daisies, and red roses to create mine and I love how it turned out! The filler flowers are from my local farmers market and I’m not sure what they’re called.
4. Festive Pet Gear (+ a tip!)
This is my top tip for the 4th of July if you have a dog! First of all, your dogs will look so cute in one of these patriotic bandanas. Secondly, rub T-away essential oil all over their ears to help them feel calm during the fireworks! T-away essential oil is a blend of tangerine, lavender, german chamomile, royal Hawaiian sandalwood, and frankincense essential oils. This blend is specially formulated and pre-diluted for pets to help alleviate tension and nervousness.
5. Beverages that match the theme
I feel like coke in a glass bottle is so nostalgic for the Fourth of July but I have a healthy alternative that is just as good! You have to try the vintage cola from OLIPOP. It’s a prebiotic carbonated drink with a similar taste to coke. The can is so cute already, but take it to the next level with these straws. I love their strawberry vanilla flavor too. 10/10 on taste and ingredients but 100/10 on cuteness.
I hope you enjoyed these cute Fourth of July ideas and have a fun day celebrating our freedom in the USA! We are planning on spending the weekend at the lake and I’m still trying to decide what dessert I want to take. Follow along on Instagram to see what I end up making!
