In this post I am sharing a baby boy nursery room tour!

Before we found out if our baby was a boy or a girl, I planned two separate nursery themes on Pinterest. We knew if we had a boy we would decorate his nursery with a construction theme! If you know anything about my husband, he is completely obsessed with CAT equipment and works as a heavy equipment operator. Our son basically has no choice but to love trucks and playing in the dirt... lucky me haha! I wanted his nursery to feel calm and cozy so I tried to incorporate muted colors and subtle hints of the construction theme.

I wanted our baby boy's nursery decor to feel intentional, custom, and unique so I purchased many handmade items from Etsy such as his crib mobile and name banner. We also wanted to make sure that we were investing in quality items that could grow with our baby such as his crib that converts into a toddler bed. I'm glad we chose the mixed wood tone crib so that all of the other wood tones throughout his room didn't have to match perfectly!

Every nursery needs a cozy reading corner! So many people suggested getting a recliner instead of a glider so I went with this rocking chair that reclines with the push of a button. I was slightly disappointed that the "beach" color advertised as a beige tone ended up looking more grey in person, but once I hung these blackout curtains I felt like it pulled out more of the beige undertones. To stick with the construction theme, I displayed books including Goodnight Construction Site, Diggersaurs, and Road Crew Coming Through. The rest of his books are stored in his play room and you can find a list of recommended books to add to your baby registry in this post!

Above his dresser / changing table I decorated his shelves with CAT equipment diecast models, a framed ultrasound picture, baby ugg boots, and a handmade knite lovie. I love decorating with functional items to avoid clutter! You can read more about his dresser and changing table organization in this post!

A blanket ladder is great way to store all of your baby's swaddles, blankets, and carriers such as the Solly baby wrap and Wildbird ring sling!
An accordion style wall hanger is the perfect way to maximize storage space for diaper bags, hats, etc. This neutral baby play gym also makes a great toy that doubles as nursery decor!
