I never thought I would say this, but Halloween is becoming my favorite holiday to decorate for! Each year I purchase a new item or create a new DIY piece, so my collection is really growing! This year I decided to focus on our entryway and I think it’s the perfect balance of cute and spooky. In this post I am sharing 7 Halloween entryway decor ideas.

1. Hanging witch hats
To hang the witch hats from the ceiling, tie clear string around the top of each hat and attach them to the ceiling using push pins. I was surprised by how easy this was! I purchased a pack of 12 witch hats and the string here. I also hung a couple of witch hats on the wall with black, sparkly tule underneath to look like the witches capes. Next year I want to add a couple of brooms too!
2. Paper bats or butterflies
This is by far the easiest DIY Halloween decor hack out there. I used my Cricut to cut each of mine, but you could simply download a template online to trace the shape and cut with scissors. I attached them to the wall using tape, but a few of them have fallen down. I’m going to try sticky putty next year!
3. Candlesticks or lanterns
If you have a shelf or table in your entryway, candlesticks are a perfect way to add some height to your decor. I decided to go with lanterns to take up some floor space, and I put my favorite battery-operated candles inside. I love that these can be set to a timer and also pair with a remote!
4. Hanging ghosts
All you need to make these adorable hanging ghosts is yarn, scissors, googly eyes, and glue! Wrap the yarn around a piece of cardboard of your desired length. Pinch the yarn on one end of the loop and remove the cardboard. Cut one end of the loop then pinch the opposite side of the loop together to create the ghost head and tie a piece of yarn around it. Glue on your googly eyes and thread another piece of yarn through the head to hang it!
5. Wreath
Attach a command hook to the inside of your door and hang a wreath! I struggled to find a Halloween wreath that I loved this year, so I ended up DIY-ing my own.
6. Lifesize skeleton
These are so fun to place around your home during the spooky season! Keep your eye out for one at Joanne fabrics when they have their sale on Halloween decor. I think I got mine for 50% off!
7. Faux pumpkins
I’ve shared about these foam heirloom pumpkins in all of my fall decor content this year and they are worth the hype! I hope that Michael’s brings them back again next year because I would love to stock up on even more next year. I love how organic they look and all of the different shapes and colors make the prettiest arrangements.
I hope this post gave you some Halloween entryway decor inspiration!
