Happy fall! This season I am looking forward to slowing down, fun autumnal adventures, and going to more in-person services at our church. We also have a few house projects we are planning to complete this season like a fireplace makeover, new flooring, and possibly a kitchen makeover too!
If you’re new to my blog, each season I like to share a list of my favorite items that I think you will love too! Check out my spring 2021 favorites here and my summer 2021 favorites here.
Now let’s jump right in to my fall favorites list for 2021!

1. Fall Phone Case
Switching out your phone case for the season is one simple way to get in the spirit for the new season. Plus, it’s a good reminder to clean and sanitize your phone when you switch out your case!! My all-time-favorite phone cases are from the brand Loopy! I have been using them for many years now, and they’re the best. The loop makes it so easy to carry your phone while you’re also holding a drink, bag, etc. I chose the black and white plaid case for the fall season because I think it looks similar to my fall doormat. I plan on switching out the loop for a red one around Christmas time for the winter season! Use code ‘thehomeblondy’ for 10% off your purchase at Loopy!
2. Olive & June Fall Box
Olive & June makes it so easy to make sure you’re stocked up on all of the best nail polish colors for each season. They curate seasonal boxes with all of the trending colors, which was perfect for me because I was in need of some deep, moody colors for fall. I love that their nail-polish is free of 7 harmful chemicals found in many nail polishes and the gel-like formula lasts for so long! You can shop the seasonal collections here and use the code thehomeblondy20 for 20% off of your purchase!
3. Weighted blanket
My husband got me a weighted blanket for Christmas a couple years ago and I would randomly use it around the house, but it’s not the easiest thing to move around since it is heavy. A few months ago I started tucking it in under our quilt on my side of the bed, and it has completely improved my sleep! I seriously cannot sleep without it now. It keeps you extra warm because the weighted beads inside tuck you in tightly. I mentioned in this video that I used to love electric blankets where you could adjust the temperature, but I recently learned that those can increase your exposure to EMFs and I just don’t think they’re the safest thing to use. If you’re looking for a warm and cozy blanket this fall, definitely try a weighted blanket! I’ve linked some cute ones here.
4. Fall Essential Oils
Fall is the best time to start diffusing essential oils because there are so many candles that you can recreate! I prefer to use essential oils because they purify the air in your home, are beneficial for your mental and physical health, and can be used in so many different ways! One of my favorite ways to use essential oils, other than diffusing, is in a room spray! During the fall season I like to create a room spray to use around our home and mist our pillows and blankets with! All you need to do is mix your essential oils of choice with a splash of witch hazel and water in a spray bottle. If you’d like to stock up on some fall essential oils, I recommend ordering:
-
- cinnamon bark
-
- orange
-
- grapefruit
-
- clove
-
- bergamot
-
- Christmas spirit
-
- thieves
-
- nutmeg
If you use this link and select the 5ml size of each oil, your total should equal $101.50 and you will get free shipping!
5. Fall book
This fall I’m actually thinking about re-reading the Harry Potter books! I read them back in elementary school and saw the movies, but I honestly can’t remember the story very well. I recently saw the Harry Potter series in a store and I thought they would be super cute to decorate with around Halloween too! A book recommendation from my recent reads is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I seriously could not put this book down and I’ve loved all of the books by this author! I’m still loving reading on my kindle too!
I hope you found something new to try this fall season! Thank you for reading!
Xo, Ciara
