In this post I am sharing all of the details on our living room playroom! You may remember when I shared our playroom guest room combo in this post but, spoiler alert - we ended up moving everything into the living room. As much as I tried to separate the toys into their own area, we spend majority of our time in the living room so it just made sense to bring the toys out there. I think I was able to set everything up in a way that still allows easy access for our son to access his toys and play without sacrificing the overall aesthetic of our living room. We are currently using the playroom to store his bigger toys like ride on cars, push walkers, etc. We actually now call it "Liam's garage" lol.
Can you spot the toys? It doesn't even look like a playroom when you first walk in the house! Well, at least if Liam hasn't woken up yet haha!
We are lucky to have such a large living room which allowed us to create this play area behind our couch!
We bought the Members Mark Kids Explorer Sofa from Sam's Club and it's actually so comfortable! I often lay here on mornings when Liam wakes up early and I'm still sleepy. You can configure it into different shapes to climb on and play with just like the popular (and expensive) Nugget couches!
Ok, back to the main living room area. I found a few creative ways to store extra toys in this area...
Would you believe I found this on Facebook Marketplace?! Truly such a lucky find! We replaced our coffee table with this storage ottoman!
This seagrass storage trunk has worked perfectly for extra toy storage as well! We throw everything in here at night to start fresh the next day!
