Our Primary Bathroom Remodel

This post is all about our primary bathroom remodel project!

Today is the day that I'm finally sharing the details of our primary bathroom! This project took us an entire year to finish since we started it right after I found out I was pregnant and my husband was in the thick of starting his business while working full time! We couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

Before we dive into the details of our primary bathroom remodel project, let's first look at what we started with!

The goals for our primary bathroom remodel were to brighten up the space, replace the old tub with a large soaking tub, upgrade the vanity, and tile the shower and floor.

Eventually I would like to tile this wall behind the vanity and we also need to hang something above the tub - perhaps a frame TV?! I think that would be so perfect for relaxing in the tub and watching a show. Still pondering that, though!

This shelf fit this wall perfectly and these baskets gave us so much extra storage space! I'm so glad to have a place to hang all of my robes now and luckily we have an extra outlet right behind the toilet so I can plug in my towel warmer and essential oil diffuser!

We chose a variety of gray toned marble and hexagon shaped tiles for our shower. After laying subway tile in our guest bathroom we wanted to use larger tiles in our primary bathroom to cut down on the time it would take. We used small hexagon tiles in the shower niches and shower floor to tie in the large hexagon tile on the bathroom floor. We always say our shower feels like a hotel shower now!

My absolute favorite part of our primary bathroom remodel is our bathtub! As a new mom, my favorite way to relax after a long day with my baby is taking some time for self care.
