IKEA KOPPANG Dresser Coffee Bar

Once our baby was born our kitchen counters were quickly overtaken with the drying rack, bottle warmer, sterilizer, pump parts, etc. In addition to needing some extra counter space, we were also in need of more storage for all of the baby things! I started my search for a furniture piece that would allow me to move my coffee supplies off of the counter and also provide storage space for our baby's feeding supplies. I landed on the IKEA Koppang 6 drawer dresser and it is perfect to use in the kitchen as a coffee bar!

What is the difference between Hemnes and Koppang?

I was tempted to purchase another IKEA Hemnes dresser for this space because that is the dresser we have in our son's nursery and we love it. Since the Koppang dresser is shorter and narrower, it works better in the kitchen as a coffee bar. The IKEA Koppang dresser costs about $260 which is quite a bit cheaper than the Hemnes that runs about $400. The Koppang dresser was also quicker and easier to build. The Hemnes dresser feels a little more durable but overall I'd say both the Hemnes and the Koppang dresser are good quality.

I used the same IKEA Skubb organizers from amazon in both the Koppang and Hemnes dressers. They don't fit quite as nicely in the Koppang dresser because the drawers aren't as big as the Hemnes, but they still served the purpose for storing the baby bottle supplies.
