When my mom offered to throw me a baby shower we didn't even know the gender of the baby yet! I initially sent her pictures of an "Our Little Cutie" baby shower theme with oranges but once we knew it was a boy I thought the "Here Comes The Sun" baby shower theme was so unique! I hadn't seen anyone do it yet besides a few pictures on Pinterest.

The first thing we did was make a guest list and search Etsy for invitations. We decided on this invitation set which included customizable digital downloads for the invitations, diaper raffle cards, book instead of card request, and matching thank you cards. Once we customized the invitations with the party details, we printed them at Walgreens.
After the baby shower we ended up with a closet full of diapers and a full shelf of books, so I highly recommend including these requests with your invitations! For the diaper raffle, my mom made a cute diaper cake and we put it on display with a place for the guests to set their pack of diapers and place the card with their name on it. We drew two names for the prizes which included shower steamers, body butter, and a hand towel with a sun on it that matched our here comes the sun baby shower theme!
In addition to the here comes the sun baby shower invites , we also purchased this welcome sign poster as well as these bingo cards . We were able to customize our own balloon garland using these easy and affordable balloon garland kits that come in so many colors!
The bingo game keeps guests entertained while the mom to be is opening presents and takes some of the pressure off from everyone watching her!
Our here comes the sun baby shower backdrop was the perfect place for all of the guests to take pictures! My mom and dad made the backdrop out of insulation foam boards. The sun was made from extra insulation foam and yard stick rulers that were cut into smaller pieces. We used Sherwin Williams paint colors Goldenrod and Outgoing Orange and it turned out so pretty! The tallest board was cut to about 6.5 feet tall and we attached these brackets to the back using cement glue. I placed 2 lb and 5 lb hand weights on the brackets behind the boards to prevent them from tipping over.
My sister asked a local baker where she lives to make these here comes the sun baby shower cookies and they turned out absolutely adorable! Since they came individually packaged we were able to use them for our here comes the sun baby shower party favors also!
We hosted the party from 1pm to about 3pm and provided lunch for all of the guests. We served chicken salad croissants, deli meat and cheese croissants, pasta salad, coleslaw and mandarin orange salad, charcuterie snacks, fruit, a lots of little desserts including Bundtini's from Nothing Bundt Cakes which are always a crowd favorite! For beverages we provided fruit infused water, a mocktail recipe we found on Pinterest, and Mom Water canned cocktails which were so cute and fun for a baby shower!
I found my here comes the sun baby shower dress here and I got so many compliments on it! I loved that it was light weight and comfortable. Plus the longer length was nice while sitting and opening presents.
I hope this post gave you some here comes the sun baby shower ideas! Thanks so much for reading and supporting my blog!
