The year of 2020 turned me into a coffee addict. Whenever I needed an excuse to get out of the house, I would turn on a podcast and drive to Starbucks. It turned into an (expensive) habit pretty quickly and I decided it was time to learn how to recreate my favorite Starbucks drinks at home! When I started looking into coffee machines I feel in love with the retro look of the Smeg, but because I was a coffee novice I didn’t want to spend the money on a fancy machine that I wasn’t sure if I would end up using long-term. I went with this pour over coffee maker instead, which was perfect to practice my barista skills with! I decided to turn my bar cart (which I had previously been using as a plant cart) into a coffee/tea station a few weeks ago, and my husband actually surprised me with the Smeg coffee machine for Valentine’s day! It was the perfect final touch to this space and I love how my coffee bar cart turned out!
You might recognize these shelves from our guest bathroom makeover and you will probably laugh when you see my husband teach me how to hang them in this Youtube video. We have these shelves all over our house and they are perfect for adding height to a space and holding your cute, functional decor. I decided to use them to display my recipe box, wine glasses, matcha tools, coffee grounds jar, and coffee syrup bottles.
If you need a cute, organized system for tea bags you need this container! I found it in the bathroom section at Target and realized it was the perfect size!
So many bar cart styling images on Pinterest had a record player so I used mine to cover the outlet and cords. I like to keep Taylor Swift’s “lover” album in it because that was the song my husband and I danced to at our wedding!
To soften this space I added this Turkish towel, which is perfect for wiping up any spills and this cozy faux fur rug from Hobby Lobby.
I hope this post gives you some inspiration for styling your own bar cart or creating your own coffee and tea station! Thank you so much for reading!
